Partners : Biom'Up (Coord.), INSERM, MDB Texinov, Université Claude Bernard Lyon, Voxcan
Anastomotic fistula is the most important complication and cause of death after colorectal resection. It affects patients operated on for cancer of the colon, rectum or chronic inflammatory diseases of the intestine. Fistulas often generate re-interventions and particularly expensive and restrictive monitoring. COLOMATRIX The project aims to reduce the rate of fistula
anastomotic with innovative resorbable implant that provides dynamic reinforcement and promotes a strong and lasting tissue regeneration colorectal wall. To achieve this performance, the implant will comprise an innovative matrix combining very specific biological and mechanical properties, and design adapted to current operating protocols.
