Services sized for all your needs...
A V O X C A N service begins with an accurate definition of the protocols needed for image acquisition, image processing and biological parameters quantification in close proximity with the customer and our veterinary radiologist experts. In very specific cases V O X C A N proposes to realise a feasibility study to test new developments, followed by a reproducibility study to validate them. For standard studies, when protocols are already validated or published, the V O X C A N service is composed of the following elements:
Image acquisition
Images are acquired with one of the X-ray scanners of the platform. The sanitary status of the animal is preserved. Anaesthesia protocols (gaseous or i.v), which are validated by the ENVL ethical comitee, are respected.
Image reconstruction
Raw images (projections) are used to perform a volumetric image reconstruction on powerful PCs which reduce the computation time commonly admitted.
Image processing and quantification
A new drug candidate efficiency cannot be proved if measured parameters inside images are not relevant with respect to the considered pathology. This 3D quantification is optimised with high level image processing operations which can eliminate bias inside images and also facilitate and speed-up this operation.

Expertise and analysis report
After putting all the results together, obtained in a GLP context, a standard statistical analysis is performed and the results are stored in an analysis report for the customer. A complementary expertise, performed by our internationally recognised veterinary radiologists, can be added to this report.
